AAST renal scale:
Grade1:
Non-expanding subcapsular haematoma with no laceration
Grade 2:
Non-expanding perinephric hameatoma confined to retroperitoneum
Lacerations less than 1 cm without involvement of pelvicalyceal system
Grade 3:
Laceration more than 1 cm without involvement of pelvicalyceal system
Grade 4:
Laceration extending through cortex, medulla and collecting system
Injury to main renal artery or vein with contained haematoma and/or segmental infarcts, but without lacerations
Grade 5:
Shattered kidney
Ureteopelvic avulsion
Complete avulsion or thrombosis of main renal artery or vein with complete devascularization
